Dar Es Salaam - Tanzanian civil aviation authorities have called off the search for a South African-registered aircraft that has been missing for more than two weeks.
"The search can be reactivated if any new information about the ill-fated aircraft is received," said Civil Aviation Authority acting director Laurence Paul late on Wednesday.
The small plane, a Piper Seneca, went missing with two people aboard after taking off from Dar es Salaam airport on June 12.
It was to land in Zambia for refuelling before continuing to South Africa.
