But do the usual methods of scrapping such a piece produce damage like the Reunion flaperon shows? The torn-off trailing edge and the torn-
out hinges are easy to visualize as a result of ditching with the flaperon down.
There must be a few photos of deliberately scrapped flaps or flaperons around.
