Wizz Air would be a good fit for Southend with its A320s. I can't see it happening on any large scale, but a couple of routes might be introduced. The success of the Krakow route in terms of passenger numbers shows the demand is there at SEN.
I imagine that, if there is any truth in the rumour at all, it could be simply a bargaining move by Wizz Air. Or, just possibly, they could be seeking to expand and see SEN as a useful airport for their 320s when they start flying A321s into Luton.
It's a nice thought, but most likely nothing will happen.
Why Stobart don't develop the SEN-DUB service though is a real mystery.....
