surely your stats are wrong? Business pax only 10% higher at Lhr? I thought Lhr was almost all business pax. 64% O & D. What are the comments we read continually about Lgw is just the "point to point" airport whilst Lhr is the master of transferring pax. And I bet the transfer figure at Lgw is higher as the likes of me, connecting off one Easyjet to another probably isn't counted. I also read the comments made about the new BA route transferring to Lhr, within hours of the announcement. I now believe there is an obsession and a degree of snobbery attached to the whole Lhr debate. Most certainly there is a real urgency to prevent Lgw becoming any sort of competition.
What happens if Lhr gets the third runway and Ezy base some aircraft and go after many of the BA short haul routes?
