When you actually look at the statistics Bermuda delays are no better or worse than others for BA long haul flights. Some of the 777s at Gatwick are actually younger than some of those at Heathrow. The route operates profitably from Gatwick so unlikely to move IMHO.
On another forum at the moment there is also someone asking about moving certain flights to LHR. I do find it quite tiresome at times the suggestion that only LHR is worthy of such flights. I suppose it illustrates an embedded bias towards LHR. I suspect for some it is more to do with travel snobbery. Hope that doesn't sound too harsh.
I actually enjoy travelling from both airports and wish them both well.

Business passengers Heathrow 30%
Business Passengers Gatwick 20%
Connecting passengers Heathrow 36% so majority are O & D.
Connecting passengers Gatwick 10%
I appreciate the figures for Heathrow re Business and transfer are higher than Gatwick but the impression often given by some is that they are indeed much higher at LHR. In reality most passengers are O&D and travelling for leisure.
