"Unfortunately", the 50s have depreciated in value recently. The 50EX that I flew a couple of years ago (manufactured in 2000, 6,000 hours total) is currently being advertised at slightly above 5 million USD, with the owners probably willing to sell in the 4 to 5 million USD range.
For that low, guess I'm not as current on the market as I thought I was. I know straight 50 are going for about 1.5 million USD or less.
That's a hell of a lot of aircraft performance wise for that much money. I used to go from the Los Angeles area to London with just one fuel stop in Bangor, Maine in a straight 50.
