True, as any sail effect will have influenced its movement. The problem is unless you can say when damage occurred you won't know the effect on the way up its floats. For example, a hole which stops a section holding air and acting as a buoyancy chamber may have occurred as it hit the rocks/reefs around Reunion Island.
