can understand why you feel so frustrated or disappointed cause I had the exact question in my mind years ago too.
but there are other ways into aviation (if ur real keen, and probably need to have a lot of spare cash for some of these ways) if u research in detail and weigh all the options?
SIA is probably 1 of the sweetest deals out there with a sponsored cadet program into a wide body aircraft but not everything is so rosy?
it is always tough to get into this industry and probably just as tough to maintain a life in it.
Maybe you can talk to the Pilots you know to understand the entire career package before you decide if u want to fly as a career?
Instead of trying to overturn SQ's longstanding eyesight requirement?
For all we know, it can just be a straightforward way for them to eliminate some candidates from a huge pool of applicants as it is going to be very competitive anyway
Just my humble opinion here but I don't think it's very wise to ruffle feathers
