It depends on what type of operation you are seeking experience credit for. If, for example, you are determining experience for PIC of a part 121 operation, the rules state :
500 hours in the type of operations to which this Part
applies or in equivalent operations that are acceptable to
the Director
I am assuming that the equivalent operations acceptable to the director refer to using 121 time for 125 or 135 operations etc.
