It seems from postings on the flybe thread that they had a bad day yesterday and that MAN was worst affected. With MAN, along with BHX, being a substantial base, perhaps not surprising if we had most cancellations. Nevertheless, given that MAN is a hub for the airline in terms of its own flights and through its code sharing arrangements with several airlines, it's not encouraging and nor does it build confidence, as this extract from one of the posts shows.
"Manchester flights were chaotic, and we were told due to staffing issues and tech problems, although this was far from clear. Stood in queues for several hours at IOM airport. Trying again today. Lots of unhappy passengers being forced to miss onward flights"
Hopefully this was a rare rather than frequent occurrence, as reports suggest that flybe is becoming an increasingly useful feeder for a variety of MAN services.
