This story sounds stranger and stranger!
I flew a similar route up to Kenya on the Thursday and back on the Friday (from SA). Weather did not appear to be a problem at all, no vertical build up and generally a max of 3/8ths cover.
Seems like this story has a lot more to it than immediately meets the eye!
