I don't know how old you are. I say - just give it a shot. I went to the syndey open day and they had a lower age limit of 21. I am 20 and still got right through the day. They told me they were basing employment on maturity and experience. I think it is worth a shot at least. It is a good quetsion though. Good luck anyway if you go. May see you there.
