banjodrone - you make a good point, since i am a Canadian citizen i think i will do my training here and hope for the best. My aim will be to work in the middle east so hopefully i can gain some hours here. I also have a few airline pilots who can always give me an internal reference in the future!
Ive sent countless emails to EASA schools across Europe and i ask them, if i were to go 0 to ATPL then do an FI rating would you hire me under a work visa majority of them said yes BUT where would i go after that? i have to hope that every job small or big i land the company will sponsor my visa which is way too risky...
Id rather do my best here in Canada and then apply abroad when i have experience (i.e. flyDubai)
A friend of mine went from Canada to the US to do an 0 to ATP course and hes back here now trying to get a visa to go back! Hes now consiering spending even more converting.... What a waste!
