BA have today confirmed that the first 787-9 route will be DEL. The aircraft will operate 5 x weekly on the BA257/BA256 rotations. A 4 classs 777 will operate the rotation 2 x weekly. Other 787-9 routes will be AUH/MCT and KUL exact dates that these routes will begin 787-9 operation are yet to be announced.
The 787-9 will be configured 8F/42J/39W/127Y
Surprised to see AUH/MCT as a 789 route, that will be a big reduction in F seats given that it is currently served primarily by the 772's with 17 seats at the posh end.
