Not much more to say, EASA are taking a very dangerous line by reducing the safety margins even further simply because they are doing what airlines are telling them to do. I would love to know exactly how much...ahem...'lobbying'...went into the new FTL's.

What a load of bollix, what do you know about for example what UK AOC's are having to do to manage EASA FTL?.
If safety margins are being eroded why does the rest of Europe rumble on with Sub Part Q.
Simple fact the Captain was ill, tired and hadn't eaten.
So combo of sleepiness (not fatigue) and lack of food (food is fuel)
