for Convair fans

A type rarely seen in Europe (Swissair briefly operated 2 in 1961/2), this Convair 880 was privately owned and paid a number of visits 29/8/78-8/10/78. The main distinguishing feature from the 990 was the lack of the fairings extending from the pylons above and behind the wings. Probably the only CV880 to visit LTN.
