At best, combustion thrust in propellor engines is about 5% of the total, and usually closer to zero
During WWII Rolls Royce put much research into maximising the jet effect from the exhaust of the Merlin, achieving a figure of 10%. Likewise the Wright Cyclone in the T-28 produced 10% from the stacks.
