Wider investments at UK airports is not newsworthy as to a great extent it's 'business as usual' and whilst noteworthy at a local and regional level, doesn't compare with the economic, social and environmental impacts of a possible recommendation that in effect adds capacity equivalent to an airport the size of Gatwick onto what is already the UK's biggest air hub.
