I take Beconase

I have had chronic sinusitis for many years. It got bad enough I had a sub mucous resection - essentially a surgical rebore of the nasal passages.

I have taken Beconase for quite a few years and it greatly alleviates the symptoms and has given me no discernible side effects. Without the drug, my nose feels painfully blocked and it clicks loud enough to keep my wife awake.

Ears and noses are closely linked, which is why we see ear, nose and throat specialists. So it may well be right for you. Disclaimer - I have no medical qualifications.

If the pollen count gets very high or I have a bad cold, I will for a few days, take Otrivine (Xylometazoline Hydrochloride). That gives quick relief but prolonged use of that is counter productive.

The leaflet does warn of potentially nasty side effects in a few unlucky people so monitor it.
