I'm deeply conscious of the honour which has been done me - and extend my sympathy to the also-rans !
So my scintillating wit (what does it do after eight?) has won through at last.
Now this is the best I can do. I should mention that the perpetrator is well known to us here, but to spare his blushes, I assure you that no living creature was injured, and he left the subsequent Inquiry without a blot on his escutcheon, as he was in the grip of Circumstances Beyond his Control. And he has authorised me to use his picture, for which I am grateful, for the arcane mysteries of Scanning and Photobucketting are far beyond me.
(Reminiscent of the old story of the CFI who summarised his report on his stude:
"This young man opens the throttle and initiates a series of events over which he excercises no further control !")
