Aero mad, I agree with most of what you say, except where you mention the level of delays / cancellations.
From my experience, and I keep a close eye on what's happening, the Tri' tech delays have been too numerous for me to write down. If you were at the meeting last week the audience clearly didn't agree with Aurigny's take on it either. I think its more like 70% and was down to 55% over Easter and Whitsun week.
I can only guess that by issuing you with a new boarding card for a new time and different flight number gets round reporting long delays ! The original flight just disappears off the departure screen.
The dwindling number of Tris' have been hammered so reliability is going to be poor.
Roll on the Dorniers, we've waited long enough.
