Ayline is correct; the new-build aircraft has been ordered (wording of the press release currently being finalised) and is due for delivery from RUAG around Christmas after a cancelled order from a prior customer. It will not have previously flown for another operator. G-SAYE is ready to go pending some final paperwork; CS-TGG has been painted and returns to Guernsey today.

, with respect, you should perhaps do some research on the backgrounds of those managing Aurigny. It would suggest that at worst they aren't 'total idiots' and at best have a few more years in aviation than many on this forum. They aren't silly. Yes - Tri replacement has all gone on for far longer than it should have, but the extent to which Aurigny has been in control of funding cuts to the Portuguese INAC - the cause of the current delay - is pretty limited. You refer to a 'problem', but the fact of the matter (borne out in the punctuality stats) is that routes served by the Tri fleet are not experiencing (and did not during 2014) levels of delays or cancellations higher than the network average, and that EU OPS is in general far more forgiving to D228 operations anyway (there is now emergency exit lighting in the Tris too...).
