Given thatteh Govt have jsut pulled the plug on Network Rails plans I expect they will "carefully study" the conclusions for at least a year whatever is said
Sorry to be a Northern cynic, but I find it hard to accept the Government / Treasury will be in the slightest reluctant to spend £6bn upwards of tax payers money on R3 at London Heathrow if that is what Davies recommends, while refusing to give the North a decent rail network. (I mean financially - the politics is a different matter).
