Wizz Air is to introduce flights from Birmingham for the first time later this year.
The Hungarian low-cost airline will make Birmingham its eighth UK airport when it launches services to Warsaw and Budapest in September.
Wizz’s Birmingham-Warsaw route will operate on Monday and Friday from September 14. While Birmingham-Budapest flights will run on Tuesday and Saturday from September 15.
William Pearson, aviation director at Birmingham Airport, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Wizz Air to Birmingham airport. We expect these new services to be popular with business travellers, due to the twice-weekly frequency.”
Wizz Air spokesman Daniel de Carvalho added: “We hope our first two services to Hungary and Poland will stimulate tourism and hospitality sectors as well as strengthen business relations between the three countries.”
