Have intertwined the CAA's May statistics with the Airbus Global Forecast. We are currently showing as a Mega City" with more than 10,000 daily long-haul passengers so had to check that out
My arbitrary definition of long-haul means these countries are in:
Barbados, Canada, Cape Verde Islands. Cuba, Dominican Republic. Hong Kong, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan. Qatar, Jeddah, Singapore, St Lucia, UAE & USA
So I've excluded the 1300 passengers that Iraqi Airways carried.
The results:
364,205 passengers, average 11,828 daily passengers, or if you exclude charter services*
312,842 passengers, average 10,091 daily passengers
So MAN is one of odd-ball "Mega Cities" that has numerous long-haul carriers (with some more to come) but no significant operations by any 1 airline.
Just amazed that Airbus sees fit to have MAN doubling it's daily long-haul passengers by 2034.
* remembering that TCX, primarily a charter operation, now operates on scheduled basis to MIA, JFK, MCO, St Lucia and CUN
