After 42 years in ATC, codes are plain text to me. Looking at the decoded message, I found it slow going, too wordy. Decoded TAFs are probably good for new or low time pilots. As only TAFs are decoded, people will still need to decode the area forecasts where most flying is done.
I don't think it matters because soon enough they will use codes again, ones that you have to be gen Y to understand. Lol...
