I remember that at one time, Mr Butler wanted to import the Sud Aviation Caravelle jet airliner here, but was firmly told 'NO' by the Feds of the day.
I believe it would have been the first jet airliner to operate in OZ.

And those scenic windows in the DC-3....WOW!
Was it 'Viewmaster' windows..?
