I am going to defend Aurigny over last weekend.

There was thick fog in Alderney, some in Guernsey and a little in Jersey for the whole of the Friday. With six full SOU-ACI they were booked to absolute capacity as I understand it. One flight ACI-SOU made it, but Aurigny staff did a great job of looking after the passengers. On the Saturday they managed two extra flights, making eight SOU-ACI. I believe each of the three Trislanders made eight flights that day. Around 50 pax were flown to GCI with other carriers and three boats were chartered from Guernsey to Alderney.

That the Dornier is still not available to Ops must be major source of frustration during a bank holiday weekend coinciding with a half term. Especially when the need to replace the Trislanders was identified around 3 years ago.
