My understanding is that most of these are for are you waiting,yes, something that is foreign to Qantas but expansion and new routes. Perth Europe direct and Brisbane Dallas been two mentioned. The 787 is not a 747 replacement and I think they are looking at the 777X or A350-1000 to replace the 747. My take is that in under ten years nearly all pilots in Qantas long haul will be effectively on a B scale less money, more hours flying per bid period.
