You only proceed with the payment after you sign a job contract, so, no problem with that
pilot93, I don't know who told you that but that it's not true! You may be lucky in getting your contract before paying but most of the people don't.
You have to pay for your type rating 4 weeks before and sometimes you just get your employment contract after that. No worries, you'll get it before you start the type BUT maybe not before the payment.
