As many people have said, lots of lobbying and influencing goes on away from the public gaze and so it should. I've seen things go horribly wrong in this business when something is leaked to the public and the other party has taken their bat and ball away. Just because some on here don't see anything going on in the press and social media doesn't mean nothing is happening.
The Airport seems to be doing pretty well nowadays; no doubt it could do some things better, but hey you could say that of any organisation.
