Squawk 1000 over germany
Hi everyone,
recently when I was flying from to a destionation in western Europe, overhead Germany I got the request to squawk 1000. Now as I understand this has to do with the Mode S we have onboard and that ATC (and all following controllers) can read out all the information from the Mode S she needs, and giving me 1000 opens up my old squawk for another aircraft.
Can someone please confirm that I have the right picture here?
And also I have been trying to look this up in lido, but I cannot find this information.
