fish A Great Guy

Jay is a great guy.
First met him when he started at the aeroclub. Think we may even have sat some subjects together.

As I remember it he was the driving force behind setting up the International Aviation Academy and thus helping strengthen the Canterbury Aero Club by allowing each aspect of the organization to focus on each market.

Jay taught me to fly BNL and we had much fun bouncing around the skies and grass strips in her. Jay supported me with my banner towing and seaplane dreams and was always around to get me current in the different aircraft as I would fly back to NZ once every year for Christmas and New Years. Jay always had time for my Grandad when he would visit the club and came to my 21st birthday as a great night was had by all. Jay was also great supporter of my Japanese friend Kenta who he helped immensely with his flying dreams too.

Jay overcame much pain that would have broken a lesser man, sent many hundreds into the wild blue and his ready smile, and empathic nature is well remembered.

I'm sad he's gone. I'm happy I met. Am sure we will all fly again together one day.

Deepest respect to his family and friends.
Paul
