I fly with many pilots who say they will finally start to get ahead once the get into the left seat at EK.
It is a sad reflection on the industry when an FO in the right seat of a 737 can't provide for his family and a guy in the left seat of a 737 or the right seat of a 777 can only break even.
The majority of our pilots have come from pay for training airlines and are not the union types.
As you said there is no corporate memory amongst the majority of our pilot group.
I am just happy that I'm not a thirty (or 20 something FO ) in EK...... Old age has its rewards.
