EK Pay
Fellas, it would seem that since half the pilot group have been in the company for under 5yrs, we have no corporate memory. I am flying with guys now that believe the 3% increment is counted as a pay raise, and are hoping for 5% increase this year. Don't sell yourself short.
We had our productivity stolen several years ago, so 14 x 600 = 8400 per month lost. We had the increment withheld twice, for me that's close to 3000. So an increase of 11400 per month would only put me back where I should be, and does not make up for lost pay/ provident fund payments.
This is not even taking into account the credit for duties lost in 2003.
So 20% increase just returns our pay to where it would have been if they hadn't stolen from us.
No other group in the company have had their money reduced. Please remember this when deciding on giving up that day off.
