Boe787 Agree with Going Boeing, no chance of 350 for Qantas, the 787s at prices Qantas got em to good to not take up!
I think QF/JQ will ultimateley end up with a fleet of A380s/787s and 320/321 Neos, which will make for a pretty efficient fleet!
Does anyone notice the odd man out there?
Surely from an operational efficiency perspective having one Boeing type in a sea of airbus type (or vice versa) is a recipe for unnecessary cost.
Given you can, given the right training, run CCQ with 350 and 320/321, and also given that changing from Boeing to airbus is akin to a religious conversion, it seems less efficient to have one Boeing type when Airbus make an airframe that can cover the same (or wider) market segment.
Throw in that they already run 330's and it makes a convincing argument for going 350 not 787.
