It is certainly possible booking have been strong, but the cynical side of me says that airline CEOs tend to emphasise how well their airline is doing whenever remotely possible. Perhaps we could wait until CAA passenger stats are released for the first month of operations ?
Indeed proof in the numbers. CEO basically said they expected bookings to be soft until the route actually commenced and were not expecting such a response WAT flights have gotten. That may suggest some other new VLM routes may not have such high bookings in advance of start date.
