Completely agree. Furthermore, the airport no longer enjoys funding from the state, the PSO support from the domestic route is gone - which was all part of the mix. At such low volume the operation would never be sustainable.
Pity though as Galway is a fantastic city and from a tourism perspective has so much more potential.
If only knock wasn't built so far out, its so far out that Shannon's handier. Anyway that's another argument.
Could we see VLM in SNN or NOC or even KIR taking on a Scottish route anytime soon?
