With the busy summer season due to start in a few weeks and some aircraft returning back from their winter holidays in Canada and Caribbean soon.
Does anybody know if any more of the 738s are being fitted with the Scimitar winglets this year ? I think they did 5 or 6 of the older aircraft last spring and heard there was some good performance and savings made especially on the longer PFO,LCA and SSH sectors
I did 3 flights last year on older aircraft and some were starting to look a bit tired inside the cabins and compared to the newer G-TAW reg aircraft was like travelling on different aircraft type. As the newer ones have the upgraded Boeing cabin pack with better overhead bins creating sense of more space,LED lighting and the SkyMap service which of course personally for me was very entertaining keeping check of position and altitude
