The fact that you had no thoughts of murder-suicide implies you would never contemplate deliberately crashing an airplane and taking the lives of passengers. I agree with others that pilots with depression shouldn't be banned from flying if they still care about their own safety and the safety of their passengers. However, no pilots should be allowed to be entrusted with the safety of passengers if they have no empathy for other humans which can be uncovered in testing for sociopathy traits.
