Looking at the radar (T-DEBUG), and the fact it operated at a perfect 300kts & 16000ft for the whole 3 1/2 hour flight, as well as continuing until just south of India would suggest that it may be spurious. Mode S code belongs to an Italian Air Force AMX according to some sites.
If not it is a impressive piece of flying.
