I've flown Air Asia around 30 times over the last few years and have found them nothing short of brilliant. Clean, modern aircraft, attractive, friendly crew, nice food, affordable fares, great OTP. Indeed, I would say that in those categories they've far surpassed my experience on the local carriers. Crew training may well be to a lower standard - I can't say one way or the other, though I've got my suspicions. So why shouldn't an informed customer weigh up all those criteria that are important to them, and assess that the likelihood of coming unglued and not being saved by additional crew training over and above whatever is required to get approval to operate throughout the majority of the aviation world, is perhaps hundreds of thousands to one, consciously assess and take that risk, and purchase their ticket accordingly?
