The way we are talking on here you'd imagine FR were desperate to operate a raft of routes out of SNN, I simply don't believe that. They will want to make profit ultimately and there definitely is the opportunity to do so but ramming 189 pax onto a plane at £9.99 is is not profitable. The airport has a thin population and would do better attracting European tourists in . At a time when FR are tight for aircraft they will undoubtedly play this to their advantage, flirting with airports on possible routes. The reality is they can make much more money flying into say Germany or Italy than BHX-SNN. SNN basically drove EIR out, quite possibly gave into FR on the MAN route, and have lost a triple daily MAN, double daily BHX, BRS and EDI as a result, and I think they are far more sustainable, and suited to smaller aircraft than some of FR's previous ventures at SNN.
