Yes Taphappy, first day at Lords in Nov 1942 sitting in a darkened room with little chain on collar and looking at silhouettes on a kind of tower. Result put in log book, so that must have been issued on that day. Managed 31 out of 32. Very pretty WAAF M.O. (They were all pretty then though, weren't they?) said, "night fighters for you!"
