Re Border Control
My understanding is that there will be no new physical check on outbound pax at airports. Instead, the requirement for increased monitoring of people leaving the UK will be achieved through the current method of airlines collecting passenger data and passing it to the control authorities. So there will be no need for segregation.
The main impact of the tightening up on controls will be on Eurotunnel and ferry operators, which do not currently keep passenger records in the same way as airlines do. This is causing some headaches for those operators - with one report in today's papers predicting 5 mile queues at the Eurotunnel terminal in Kent!
