When the Scottish Govt took over the airport they estimated that they would need to put in £21m over the next 7 years. The Audit Scotland report re-ran the numbers and estimated the amount to be just under £40m.
However, as I noted above, the Audit Scotland report is already out of date in that it assumed a recovery of passenger numbers. It is anyone's guess as to how much cash the airport will burn if the traffic remains at current levels.
Update - CAA stats show a 60% decline in traffic in Feb 2015, with the moving annual total now just 858k. How quickly the Audit Scotland report has been overtaken by events.
