Owning an airplane with a registration of another country
Hello fellow pilots
I know that "If it flies, floats or f****, it's cheaper to rent it.", but nonetheless I have some questions regarding the acquisition of an used Single Engine. It will only be flown privately by 3 or 4 pilots... But as I am from Portugal, and here GA aircraft are rare and expensive, and as the portuguese aviation civil authority (INAC) is a pain in the a**, I was thinking on the possibility of maintaining the actual registration of the aircraft.
Can someone tell me what are the advantages/disadvantages/barriers of owning a SE with a "G", "D" or "EC-" registration by a portuguese citizen? (Insurance, registration, maintenance, etc ...)
