Hi Dboy,
I fly for a private owner or i should say he hires my LTD for "pilot services"
My LTD it paying me as a pilot a monthly salary with all state taxes, including what they call here "employers tax". Employers tax is about 12% tax on top of my income tax. so i end i pay allmost 50% of my brut salary in taxes but if i get sick i the state pays me sickpay and if my LTD looses the contract with the private boss, My LTD fires me and I get unemployment bennefits.
The difference in my country ie that if i work freelance under a "one man company" i dont have to pay the 12% employers tax but im also not entiteled to sick pay and unemployment benefits. Basic state pension and basic medical insurance (doctor/hospiltal, not sick pay) however is payed from the income tax and is also available for freelance work.
But this will vary from country to country, so it all depends on the local law.
Which country do you live in? PM me if you don't want to publicize it.
