Heard a story years ago that a certain legendary Metro pilot hung a thermometer in the cockpit while the aircraft was being refuelled in Birdsville on a spritely summers day on the run from Bris to Mt Isa. Apparently the ambient cockpit temp was recorded at 63 degrees when he returned 15 minutes later. And more recently heard that 2 pax travelling from Thargomindah to Bris got off in Charleville and grabbed a hire car to Bris as the heat in the SAAB was unbearable.
Give the punters an air conditioned option. They'll take the Dash every day of the week.
