Ive been hearing from several rumours that Vueling have been interested in opeing a MAN base, to represent IAG in running low cost flights from MAN and potentially feeding oneworld airlines, particularly long haul.
To add to the rumour, this press release appeared today, around the opening of Timisoara Airport in Romania:
In their turn, the representatives of Vueling Airlines have voiced interest in a connection between Timisoara and Manchester
Seems a rather odd route for them to look into, which would probably need a based unit, if not, a W-pattern (ei BCN-MAN-TSR-MAN-BCN at the minimum.
